John McCallag
John received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from DePaul University. He worked as a Divisional Manger for Combined Insurance Company for many years. From there, he went on to become President & CEO of Illinois Life Insurance Company. Since 1993 John has been the President & CEO of Financial Services, Inc. in McHenry. He is an active member of McHenry County Chamber of Commerce and the Treasurer and board member of the McHenry County Task Force on Aging.
Kay Reissig
Vice Chairwoman
Kay has over thirty years’ experience in sales, marketing and business ownership. Most of her career has been spent working with fortune 500 companies to develop plans and strategies to increase market share and consumer brand loyalty. In 2010 she accepted a position as the Marketing Director for Hospice of New Mexico; it was there that her passion for helping seniors began. Since that time she has served on the board of Cancer Support Now, SHCMD (Strategic Health Care Marketing & Development), The Foster Grandparent Program for the City of Albuquerque. In addition, she has volunteered many hours to The Alzheimer’s Association, People Living Through Cancer and her local church. Kay is a certified facilitator for The Stanford University Live Well Be Well, Disease Self-Management Program, as well as a speaker on senior issues and concerns. Kay is currently employed by McHenry Villa.

Jim Thorpe
Jim received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign. He has been the President & CEO of Crystal Lake Bank since 2000. He has always been active in the community and has served on many boards including the United Way, the Centegra Foundation and the Raue Center for the Arts. He has also been involved in several Rotary clubs and is a Leadership of Greater McHenry County graduate. Jim lives in Crystal Lake with his wife Beth and they have three daughters. In his spare time Jim likes to go boating, waterskiing, motorcycling and hunting

Bobbi Baehne
Bobbi Baehne is the President and founder of Think Big Go Local, Inc. a digital marketing firm located in McHenry, IL that specializes in Social Media Strategy, responsive website design and training. For over 15 years she has worked as an executive Marketing Director in the small business, private club and non-profit sectors. Bobbi has also been an active part of her community, volunteering with local organizations and serving on various Boards of Directors to offer her time and talent for the betterment of the community. As a highly respected and sought after public speaker, she has made it her passion to educate the business community on the increasing relevance of social media and reputation management in their marketing mix. She is an active member of four local Chambers of Commerce, a Director on the Friends of McHenry County College Foundation Board, Director of the Richmond/Spring Grove Chamber of Commerce Board, Active Member of the Education to Empowerment committee at McHenry County College and member of many other committees within the community.

Bob Blazier
Bob is retired from CL District 47, the Centegra Foundation, and most recently as president of the CL Chamber. Having failed retirement, like many of our hard working members, he now works for Home State Bank as a Commercial Community Relations Officer and serves on several not-for-profit boards.
Jim Coughlin
Jim is a life long resident of McHenry County. For over 30 years, Jim considers it a privilege to have been working in the Real Estate Industry; whether it has been selling, buying, developing, or building. His intimate understanding of this business, combined with a fierce commitment to community, has allowed Jim to play a significant role in shaping many iconic local neighborhoods. He counts his time with the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park and his involvement with the creation of it’s “Listening Room”, one of his most significant volunteering accomplishments to date. Jim and his wife have three grown children and several grandchildren.

Justin Hansen
Justin is an attorney at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP where the majority of his practice is focused on representing area doctors, hospitals and municipalities. Prior to becoming an attorney, Justin worked for a non-profit in Milwaukee that assisted women, men and children who were affected by domestic violence. Justin obtained his undergraduate degree from Augustana College and his J.D. from DePaul University. He has an awesome wife and three energetic children.
