Something To Talk About

Join us Thursday, February 29th, 5pm – 9 pm for Something to Talk About, a night dedicated to raising awareness and support for seniors living independently in McHenry County. The evening will begin with cocktails, passed appetizers and live jazz music. Mingle while perusing the raffle or auction items and participating in games and activities. Learn more about Senior Care Volunteer Network via the video screens throughout the venue. A presentation will be followed by an upscale BBQ buffet. Felix and Fingers Dueling pianos will take the stage from 7pm – 9pm for your entertainment! It will be a night to remember.

About the Vixen:
The Vixen 
, located in Downtown McHenry, is the area’s premier live entertainment venue. in January 2022, the McHenry Theater closed due to a lack of attendance and rise of movie streaming at home during the pandemic. A group of community investors with a vision, remodeled the space to create a home for live music, comedy, spirits, and events. The stage and dynamic lighting, plus a newly constructed bar, add the finishing touches to this converted space. With all the theater seating removed, the floor plan can accommodate a standing room only concert or arranged with tables to create an intimate club-like setting, such as our event, Something to Talk About
